Elyse Martin is a Chinese-American author represented by Suzie Townsend of New Leaf Literary. She writes reviews for Publishers Weekly, and her work has appeared in Slate, The Toast, Electric Literature, Perspectives on History, The Bias, Entropy Magazine, Publishers Weekly, Smithsonian Magazine, and Tor.com. Her article, “Please Let Women Be Villains,” was listed as one of the “Notable Essays and Literary Fiction of 2021” in Alexander Chee’s The Best American Essays 2022. Her debut graphic novel, Copy Cat, with illustrator Sean Rubin, will be published by HarperAlley in the autumn of 2024.
